“Yaj, guud time.”

Iamza Faulker

Iamza Faulker came to us from Linköping, Sweden where he had been playing bass guitar in bands (and in front of his mirror) for a very long time. So long in fact, he had forgotten to participate in many facets of regular life, and therefore could be considered a tad…well…naive.

Back in Sweden, Iamza worked 90 hours a week or more, in the box factory at the local Ikea. He used his earnings to help his ailing father Dirti, keep up with the bills that had piled up when the family’s vacuum business went under. In fact, Iamza did nothing else but work, play bass and read magazines about America’s music industry.

Ironically, it was in a very old copy of Hit Parader magazine where Iamza found the ad for “Bass Player Wanted”, which had been posted by Hair Nation’s Management 20 years earlier following the untimely death of Skin E Bonez.

Not capable of comprehending the time lines, he set off for LA to audition for the band.

Upon arrival he quickly learned that the band had relocated a couple of decades earlier. Iamza spent the next 6 weeks hitch-hiking and bumming rides in parking lots to make the 4500KM journey to the cold, isolated regions of Canada…

Once arrived, he was greeted with a fresh toque, hot chocolate (spiked with Irish Whiskey), and a healthy supply of chip, but was surprised to find out that the band had long since retired.

Whether it was Iamza’s drive to succeed or his inability to understand what they were actually saying, he became an integral part of the reformation and rebirth of the band.

However, his share in points will likely never reflect this fact…

Or, will they?
